Hello people's--I could put this in the fire section but not many people go there and I'm thinking manipulators do this.
I was wondering if there was such a device that was remote controlled or time delayed fire. MY USE: I want to perform some Cig Manipulations in my act--- I have a brief case next to me open. I want to toss a cig into the case and then have a small flame appear about 10 seconds later the size of the flame would be about a ficle fire size-- not very big and wouldn't have to go for long I am unsure of any device that does this but I don't know much can anyone help. Cheers Dave |

So your saying the brief case will be on fire for 10 seconds....I like the idea very much and I can see the fire and smoke, thus you quickly shut the case to put out the fire and quickly reopen it and have 4 dove fly out of the case great ending...sorry my mind went into creative mode...
I don't think their is anything out on the market but given the fact that you have briefe case to work with you should be able to rig something that will do the trick. sorry this wasn't much of a help. cheers chris |

Actually I won't be opening and closing the case as this would mean I would have to just use the case for that particular effect.
I'm a comedy Magician who uses some manipulations so I need to carrrry less not more I think I will be getting a Mini Smoke or something of that effect and have some smoke go up istead of fire, safer, easier cos I don't have to custom make anything for a 10 second effect which isn't a major part of the show anyway. cheers C Christian for the post |

I have seen one of those fake fire things hooked up to a remote control. It looked fairly real, on stage, at 5-10 ft of distance, it would look more realistic.
I saw it at a party store around Halloween, if you are lucky, you may be able to find one for 50% off... Derek Merdinyan |

Yeah I know what you mean but I don't think so.
It needs to be real fire because it is actually from an audience point of view an acccident Essentially I use some props and place them back into the case I then do the cig routine and 1/2 way through my case comes on fire-- I quickly put out the fire and then reveal that my prop was on fire and that it is damaged. The prop I use is what will make the whole audience go ooooooo cos it's not nice to burn puppets-- a real funny bit. |

Use a morrissey large firebowl in your case-
Change the switch so you can ignite it from a different angle or even pick it up as you put the last cig in & you'll have a fire in your hands etc & as you put your cigs in -it will ignite a few seconds later I use a similar format in every show-looks great on stage!! Alter your routine just slightly & this will work for you |

A music box motor is the best for your purpose. It can trigger the switch and close the fire after a few seconds.

Well I do have an idea that I'm working on that ....that you able to create a blast of fire about 2 foot high in vertical or horizontal direction..In any moment of your act..it's all under your control.
If you are intersted pm me and I will see what I can do.. Let me know..I'm most willing to help. |
