Dear Magic Folks,

I recently bought a $30 silk fountain for my high school musical (something quick, visual, and fairly simple). I realize that this isn't the greatest quality thing in the world, but I didn't want to spend $100 on a trick that will only be used a few times (I'm totally a close-up purist kinda guy, for 4 years and running).

Anyway, I've been experimenting with it, and I'm having trouble folding up the extra silks into a small bundle, velcroing it (the hold is a velcro strap), and yet making it look as if the main silk is large, rather than a tiny thing with a hole in the middle. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have Laflin's Blendo. I would write them and ask them for some help.
