Is it possible to muscle pass multiple coins in a series? I can muscle pass two at the same time, but I was wondering if Its possible to pass a stream of coins.

Oooohhh I never thought of doing it in a stream. I too can do about 3 half dollars at a time. I'm going to start working on the stream!

Please clarify where the coins are starting from.
I also can do multiple coins at the same time. Of course I can do more if they are lighter or thinner. About 3 half dollar size, both sideways and verticle. Do you mean you have 2 or more in the palm and they go one at a time or are they loaded from finger tip rest or ?????? Harris

By stream I mean the following. Let say you have 3 coins in your hand. You MP first one, then next, and finally the last, one after the other, not at the same time. I would assume they would have to be loaded from finger tip rest as the last one leaves the hand. I've never seen it, so I really can't say how its done. Thought maybe someone here would know or at least have seen it. I'd be interested to find out.

If you are curious I happen to have a routine where I muscle pass four coins at one time. It looks really cool and makes for a nice little climax to the particular routine I developed. It is not in the Knuckle Buster series, but somewhere else. thank you for letting me share

I tried this for awhile a long time ago, but couldn't get it to work. You might be able to, though, more power to you.
I don't know what you want it for, but I thought it would be cool to do a "Slot Machine" type of effect in which a slot machine is drawn on the wall, or simulated with things you can stick to the wall, and then coins would vanish as they were placed into the machine, until the end where coins would stream out, via the multiple muscle pass. Like I said, the muscle pass method was a dead-end for me, but I did develop something that was pure sleight-of-hand that did work. I'll tip it here, if it turns out that people are interested in this thread.

Yes, it is possible and there are a few routines out there. I know I read a few strings back that someone had more info and I have also seen it first hand. I have been practicing a 3 coin's across routine on and off for a few years, privately and not for others, because the magician who showed it to me does not have it in print yet, I think?

Sorry guys, I actually tried to post this yesterday, but somehow it never made it to the board. Here we go again:
So, ya wants ta make coins come falling outa da wall? Here's what youse gots ta do: Let's start with plastic poker chips. Halves will work with some practice, but I've never gotten it to work with dollars. The weight of the coins is a factor. You'll need about 20, with good, sharp edges. Spread the chips along your fingers, from the bases of the fingers, out to the fingertips. Note that if your hand was held so that the fingertips pointed at the wall, as if you were catching coins coming from the wall, the coins on your fingers would not be visible. Now, place your thumb firmly on the top-most chip (nearest to the fingertips) The ball of your thumb should hit the far edge of the top chip. By dragging that chip back, towards the palm of your hand, and applying pressure, it's possible to spring the other coins up and out of your hand in a nice steady stream. Think of sequential tiddlywinks. That's about it. Like I said, I never got it to work with dollars, but light plastic chips worked well. It takes a bit of practice to get a slow stream, but the chips do get launched out fast enough to be invisible until they hit the wall, and rebound (now visible) back into your hand. Good luck with it, and if you get anywhere with dollars, let me know. We'll put you on "Palms of Steel 5: Viva Las Vegas"

Thanks Cam,
I will have to locate some poker chips. Along a similar yet different thread, I do a horizontal M.P. with one coin in each hand (at the same time) as part of one of my nearly normal copper silver routines. Harris

Wow. All I can say is I just started learning to muscle pass with one coin and my hand is killing me. But I can get about one inch vertical lift lol. It pops out sideways really good.I think that the muscle pass looks very cool thats why I am hoping to learn it. And then maybe from there I can go on to learn Kams multiple muscle pass.
Check out my new effect "As Good As It Gets" a gimmickles pencil or pen through bill effect. It closely mimmicks the slow motion phase of "Misled." About "As Good AS It Gets" for no gimmicks and everything being borrowed.

Hey doods:
Can't say too much, but Reed's got a working method for the slot-machine in the wall. He started with the clever premise that my "sequential tiddlywinks" move was unnecessary. But I'll get over it. Just thought you'd like to know...

I can get two half dollars to go up at the same time, but not seperately.
By the way, does anyone do the effect with two half dollars making it appear that the coin just bounces off of the hand? |

Wow, Maverick, congratulations. If you get it working, you name the move. "Multiple muscle pass" is a little vague and misleading, though, I'd suggest something that describes the sequential nature of the thing, "Streaming muscle pass"?
(Unfortunately it's not a pass, and it's not the muscle pass.) Let us know how you do. maybe then you can convince Reed to put the move back in the routine.

Curtis,
I can manage to get the coins to shoot out in a small stream, but 3 or 4 coins always remain in my hand, for some reason, I can't get those ones to budge?? Another problem I am having is that the coins just hit the wall and drop straight to the floor and don't appear to shoot from the wall? Any advice on this? By the way, what do you think of "pressure pass" "waterfall pass" "multiple stream pass" I think anything will do as long as it is backed up with an awesome looking move! Many thanks, Maverick |

I think the last three or four will always remain, unless you've got a hand that's as rigid as a table top.
As for bouncing off the wall, I don't know. Soft wall? You'd naturally move in closer when the money started falling out, so maybe you should go with that. I assume the speed of the coins (and therefore the bounce) will increase with practice. Note also that for less formal shows, you could do this with a T shirt bearing a slot machine on the front. Or, in Reed's case, a slot machine tatoo'd to your chest and stomach.
