Though I am no expert when it comes to stage performing, I thought it would to good to look into this genre now with the school show coming a in a few months. So, here's the question. Does anyone here have a suggestion of a illusion for a large audience that can be assembled very cheaply? (cardboard boxes, etc.) And does anyone want to sort of mentor me through this? Thanks everyone.

In the Wilson book there is an illusion called " The Ghost House" that I used in my very first illusion show. It was at a school and I only had two weeks to prepare for it. I used this illusion because it was so easy to build and it went over quite well.

I used the Arabian Tent/Ghost House illusion in my first school show too. Very easy to build, but it does take some practice to get timing down. Don't leave it or it will suffer.

A friend acted as director and watched the timing of it for me. It took some practice but we got it right. I kept it for many shows later as it got such a good response.

I am thinking about reintroducing this illusion into my show. Packs flat, plays big. The only problem is some angles, but general school shows should be okay, since most stages are in the gym where everyone is on the floor.

There are risers that will allow the audience to see above the stage and over my line of view.

The above are all good suggestions. But deff. Wilson and Mayne have great low budget powerful illusions.
