With a loop and the right atmosphere and story telling, you can usually get a good few people to appreciate a 'spirit fork' or whatever type routine. I've also found that - given a deck of cards - a sleight of hand version of cards across will play really well (there's a killer version in one of Paul Harris' books where the two spectators holding the cards actually count them, confirm there are ten and then - without the magician touching them - re-count them and find that three have travelled. The look on the spectators' face is usually one of utter disbelief - they generally slow down as they get past ten when counting)

Well, if you want to add cards...!

Six Card Repeat (just to toss in an old chestnut for the fire)
Care to forehead
Card to Pocket
Card to SPECTATOR'S Pocket
Card in Your Mouth

for other things - at a banquet, you can do Knife Through Coat with a borrowed table knife and paper bar napkin, coins across to glass (see Bob Read's version in his "Thanks To Pepys" notes for a great version), Neck Tie Through Coffee Mug Handle, Vanishing Salt Shaker (classic method), Ring on Wand using a bar straw, Vernon's Impromptu Cups and Balls (Stars of Magic), Impromptu Blindfold Routine (Magic of Fawcett Ross).

Just for some ideas

Impromptu version of the Benson Bowl ala Vernon's Impromptu Cups routine - borrow everything.

Paper Balls to Box - Slydini an overlooked classic!

Irv Weiner used to open his college "Mr. Fingers" shows with the Torn and Restored Cigarette Paper to crowds of 1,000 or more and would always pull a standing ovation for it. WITHOUT the big screen projection TVs that the "stars" use these days!

Malini Thumb Tie - borrow the string

Homing Card - Fawcett Ross, Stars of Magic

Just a few more...

See Jay Marshall's Table Crap video or The Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic by Martin Gardener for a LOT more!

TT effects are really great for larger audiences.
Not sure if you consider it impromptu...but if you carry one around..i think you can perform miracles such as
1. Vanishing hanky/napkin
2. Bill switch
3. Vanishing salt and reappear in cup (Dave Williamson)

Has ne1 mentioned a 'magician's choice' effect with a few borrowed objects, just have a prediction written on a piece of paper. Also, pinnicle ring and band is good but is really close-up, and an elastic band is needed, the ring being borrowed from the spectator.
Magic is a Tricky Business
