I have the royal road to card magic, and was wondering if many of the sleights in the book could be adapted to the Hindu Shuffle. Its the method ingrained in me, so it would make things much easier (i'm Indian).

I'm astonished that no one has answered this query in all these months! I just now saw it myself. I like the Hindu Shuffle even though I'm from St. Louis, Missouri and never saw anyone do it till I started reading magic books. There are lots of card books that explain how to use the Hindu Shuffle in lots of ways: for forcing a card, for controlling a card or group of cards, for "peeking" a card, for false shuffling, for setting a key card, etc. An old book by Walter Gibson entitled "What's New in Magic" gives a lot of uses of the shuffle, calling it, however, "The Jinx Shuffle" in honor of Annemann. It would be easier to find Bob Longe's book "101 Amazing Card Tricks" or Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic, either one of which gives many ways to use the Hindu Shuffle. As I say, many other books do this, too.
