Has anyone used this? It sounds wonderful thanks to the new gimmick. The next evolution in the coins accross concept?

I have been thinking about making the purchase. However because I don't perform at this time, this would be a waste of money for me.

I got to see Troy's routines with the Triple Threat coin gaff when he lectured here in Portland. He does some amazing stuff with it.

Is it in the Ultimate 3 Fly vein?

This gimmick dates back to an old connie hayden idea. Anotehr famous coin magician added some ideas to it and finally an L.A Big timer finished it off with some more ideas. thus the three c gimmick was born.

His booklet "The Triple Threat Coin Gimmick" contains information on the gaff as well as five routines: In it is the appearance of three coins, one at a time from empty hands. Followed by the complete one at a time vanish of the coins. A one by one change of three silver dollars to three Chinese coins. Troy's take on Ramsay's Three Coins in the Hat and a few other items. I believe it's the only material released on the Triple Threat gaff so far. If you purchase the gaff I would certainly recommend Troy's booklet. |

Flipping the "coin" is possible at the beginning of a routine, during the middle, or at the end. You can also do a coin roll anytime you feel like it. The gimmick opens up so many possibilies. Another nice thing about this set is that it can be used with a topit (although you'd better be sure that you are proficient with topiting so that you don't have a few hundred bucks landing on the pavement) or a holdout. One of the best investments I've made recently. |

I recently received a 3T coin, and really love it. It's fun to play with and get aqcuainted with. The universatility of this coin, being 1, 2 or 3 coins is astounding. I happen to have a Lassen coin and don't think it really matters whether it's a Schoolcraft or Lassen. I really don't care about the politics on this subject. Either way, this coin allows me to do some outstanding coin magic (actually makes me look like a coin worker, even though I'm not). I'm not sure the audience knows or cares who the maker of the coin is. They simply see 3 coins appear and disappear, and that's all that matters to me.

The gaff permits a VERY clean looking handling of Ramsay's "Three Coins in the Hat" routine. The coin 'hangs' to an empty hand and till the end of the trick there are no tough moves that happen while or where they are looking
...to all the coins I've dropped here

This is the first that I have heard of the Triple Threat Coin Gimmick. I have the
Ultimate 3 Fly and really like it. But, by reading about the TTCG it seems to blow the Ultimate 3 Fly out of the water. I am waiting to see the new coin gimmicks that is the brainchild of Dave Neighbors This should really be GOOD! All I can say is that this type of gimmicks will enhance anyone’s performance. Triple Threat Coin Gimmick and Ultimate 3 Fly are completely different things.
That's like saying an expanded shell will blow away a copper/silver gimmick. Or this apple seems to blow away that orange. It doesn't really make sense. |

Dan Watkins,
I was referring to the fact that the Triple Threat Coin Gimmick seems to have more impact. You commented that my post really doesn't make sense. If it is a dumb post, I am sorry. I do not go around intentionally and try to sound dumb. It just happens from time to time. Ray |

I started the topic and would like just to talk about Troy's routine ( without exposure).

Dan, that is ridiculous...everybody knows an orange blows away an apple! However, you are right about the shell vs. the copper/silver ! |
