If one could produce one coin at a time in that manner, the possibilities would be amazing.........it looks great

Thanks, might be a useful gaff for some tricks where you have a fan of coins that needs to vanish or appear, and one coin transfers that need to look direct.
Hmmmmm might be a fun item to explore.

Seems like no one is getting this... or it is so good that it should be kept under wraps

I don't think that it is in yet at the dealers. Supposed to be soon from what I hear.

Alex Lourido's Butter Coin is a very good utility coin where it allows you to perform all the moves that once required a Flipper Coin, Rub Away Coin, and the Folding Coin! I'd imagine the Rainbow Coins is worth keeping an eye on. Hopefully the review is coming soon.

I couldn't take it anymore and ordered one. It's an interesting gaff.
The good: Very well made. I don't think I could have made one any cheaper. Easy to learn and manipulate. The bad: Other than the basic routine, I don't see much other use for it. I will probably wind up using it sometimes, but I don't consider it a worker.

Mine came yesterday. The DVD and prop is excellent. I am not even into coin magic, but found two routines that I feel I can do. This prop makes you look like a pro and makes coin magic easier and more amazing. Yes, you can make the gimmick yourself, but I don't recommend it. Alex goes into many reasons why he made it the way he did. I can't wait to try some of these coin routines out. The DVD gives quality instruction. I wish more products and gimmicks would come with instructional DVDs to properly teach you how to use it.

I also purchased this and found it to be excellent. Alex makes good use of an interesting prop. Although you could make the prop, it wouldn't be worth your time, especially without the dvd to guide your use of it.
The instructional DVD is very complete and goes into detail. It not only contains instruction on the basic moves, but also contains several different routines along with a bonus routines that combine the prop with other items. While this uses a gimmick, the routines are excellent and the package is well thought out. You don't need to be sitting, resets instantly, and can be carried with you in your pocket. The fan of coins at the end just kills, it would be tough to do without the gimmick and I doubt you could do it with such impossible speed Overall this is nice. |
