I am currently exploring its use on The Magic Nook Forum as a roving eyeball in a "Mad-Eye Moody" eye patch based on the latest Harry Potter movie's special effects. I'm probably wasting my time and a Mad Eye Moody mask will be out in time for next Halloween, but it has other possibilities for the bizartist. For example, a jar full of eyeballs are floating in goo. You put one on the table and it comes to "life" rolling about, revealing secret messages in an ouija board fashion.
I formerly used it in my Miniature Wizard's Golf routine, where you only need to shake a putter at it to send it searching for the hole. Combined with other golf balls and the usual ways of moving them about (without radio control) it makes a nice addition to the routine.

I bought one of these. It's very noisy and doesn't work properly. Very disappointed in this.

Yes, it is noisy. It sounds like a tiny remote control car sealed inside a golfball, just what you would expect, because that's what it is. However, if the noise is not a problem for you, it works nicely. It has limited range and a limited time of operation before the golfball needs recharging of its internal batteries. None of these are problems for me in my applications, because I bought the golfball first, played with it, and then figured out where I could use it in magic applications. If you start with a use in your mind and only see the golfball in your imagination, it may not live up to your expectations of it when you actually try to apply it.

Looks kool. but when it is really that noisy I am not sure if it will work. maybe you can open the ball and put the inner work into another round object you want to move which is more silence. I mean a bigger ball for example which hides the sound more...
