Kennedy item. The ad states that the box can be "Fully Examined" and the audience will find nothing! How acurate is this statement. I find it a little hard to believe. Is it as deceptive as the ad states? Thanks!

I don't think I'd let spectators paw around in the box, but why would they want to? They can see it's empty. It's very convincing.
Version II is a nice improvement over the original, as the illusion of a folded card is much better. Cheers, Jerry |

I'd say that the ad is true. It's very well made and will withstand examination, if necessary.

There isn't too much of a need to see the box, a very clever idea I saw Mago Migue do was after the spectator took the lid off, he dumped it out and put it straight back in the box for the spectator to hold, saying I don't even want to touch it, and when the spectator thinks back, they remember they took it out of the box. It is examinable, as long as they don't start banging the box around, and yes, the illusion of a folded card is better in V2.

Its a stunner and the box is examinable. Most people won't look at it very long if you simply set it down and leave it without care as to whether they examine it or not. This is one of those effects that you just buy because its that good.

One thing that I want to point out is that you really don't have to be good at folding the card. Speed is NOT the issue!
In fact, I take my time doing the fold for TWO reasons. First, it allows me to make a nice fold without having to rush. Second, I state that while the cards are behind my back I am going to try to find their card. I pretend that I am going through the deck trying to make a selection, which is natural for it to take a few seconds. Acting as though I just can't seem to locate their card,I then state that I can't seem to find their card in the deck and it is because......It's Not in the deck, it's in the BOX!!! The spectator takes the lid off of the box and "Viola!" you have just done a Miracle!!! =Frank=

Yes. Time is no issue there, but ....
I have wtched this done nearly that way, but the hands not behind the back, but in full view! THIS was a great folding technique!

Mystery Box II is one of my best purchase for the last 5 years.
I had tried to use many different methods to end my signed card to impossible location routine, e.g. Card to pocket, wallet, coin purse, Forehead ........... Up to this moment, Mystery Box II is my final answer. The spectators' reaction is the best. Buy it! |

I am on my 2nd Mystery Box II now ... my first one fell off a table and all went to pieces. This is the best effect I have ever purchased .. the reactions are the best for any card to imposssible location routine.

I used the Mystery Box 2 at my restaurant gig for the first time last night (I got it for Christmas).
The reactions were great. I had one women immediateley pick up the box an start to play with it. She found nothing. The method and design are diabolicle. Has anyone played with a different handling other than the standard shuttle pass? I've been working on 2 different ideas that make the card appear as it is falling from the box. It makes it even more convincing. Rich B. |

I ended up buying it, and I like it a lot. There are so many different ways to present this it makes it easy to personalize a routine to suit you. Two thumbs up!

Great box, but the demonstration by kennedy was horrible. Unnatural and suspicious...I was uncomfortable watching it, and my keen girlfriend who doesn't know much about magic knew where the real card was by watching that demo. It's a good thing the box provides a great illusion because she was on the right track in figuring out the trick... then when the card "seemingly" came out of the box, she was thrown off and gave up.

I don't want to start another huge debate, so I'll just say simply do a search and check out "The Destination Box"...
