Dear all,

In your collective and much admired opinion, what is the best imp
pad/device/notebook out there? I want to p**k info in real time and i
want the product to be smaller than A5 if possible. I have heard good
things about Kerry Summers' notebook but can't find it. Many thanks
for all those who respond.

Best Wishes,

Ross

I've build the osterlind Imp pad after seeing his videos and it's great. Give it a try. it's cheap to make so if you don't like it, you don't loose a lot of money like if you buy a commercial one.

As for peeking in real time, you can do it with a bit of thinking.

The imp pad is fantastic! I use it all the time and it's easy to make, therefore almost free. However it's for pre-show. (I'm pm'ing Nacht to see how he uses it in real time!)
Also I believe (nev used it personally) there are arguments as to whether or not John Riggs' skeeter is good for 'real time'.

I have used the Riggs Hornet.

I reworked the gaff and it is not to bad for what I use it for in real time.

Thanks for mentioning that. Let me give a bit of advice here. If you fold about 1/8 of an inch at the end of the insert sheet, you can load it in and have a little flap to grab onto. Then, after someone has written something, you can take the pad, pretend to doodle and then slide out the insert making it look like your ripping the top sheet out. Then turn it over (getting the dope), put it on the pad and doodle some more. (All the while talking) Finally, crumple it up and write the real info on the next clean sheet. Try it in front of a mirror and you will see how good it looks.

There are times that I think you make things too easy for us. Our brains may rust from disuse, what with all these hints and tips you throw out to us!
