Greg sent me a GREAT new routine to use with my ODDS idea. He gave me permission to post it on my blog, so if you go to http://www.osterlindmysteries.com/blog you can see it there.

Thanks, Greg!

I am not sure I totally understand this. So,let’s say 3 specs.select their(ODDS)cards.Performer walks away while they make their drawings. They mix their drawings, and the performer returns, and devines who drew what(that seems easy enough). However,is this done while the drawings are hidden or visible?I have already done it with 2 specs.at a table(using Richards original routine). Is this different? Thanks in advance.

You would have to know the Sneak Thief routine in order to make sense of this. Sneak Thief is a Larry Becker routine so I will not give away that particular structure or method. It's in Stunners Plus.

For those that don't own Stunners:

Check out Max Maven's "Desire" or Orville Meyer's "Dead". They have similar plots.

OK, Greg had more work on this idea, but needed Max's permission first as it came from one of Max's ideas. He got it and sent me the further details which are now up in the same thread of my blog.

Enjoy!

Thanks, guys. And welcome back to Paolo... although he was gone in body, he was never gone in spirit from these boards.

ODDS (and, for sake of truthfulness, any other stack of designs / words) works like a charm with your medium at the other side of the phone-line.

You get the .... hmmm.... "wrong" impression and since you are tired today, you propose to try with your medium which will immediately guess (after the appropriate theatre!) the design that the person has secretly sketched out.

This is just an application of an old MAGICK idea written up by Ted Karmilovich so many moons ago...

Paolo's suggestiong reminded me of something I thought of when playing with ODDS, but don't have the talent for: What if you are drawing and keep staring at what you are doing and saying things like, "I don't get this? I'm just getting some weird lines? Just keep drawing... it must be me."
In the end you both turn your drawings around and they don't seem to match... your drawing is some sort of bizarre abstract... then you notice something... here's where the talent portion comes in... you either noticed that what you drew is completely upside down and when turned over it matches closely or you notice that adding two or three lines suddenly makes the pictures match.
I can only see this working properly if you have the artistic talent to pull this off so that the pictures DON"T look like they match until either turned around or lines are added.
