Does anyone know what size Brett Daniels uses for his billiard ball routine. I think that they might be 2 inches, but I thought I'd turn to the Café to be sure. Thanks for the help.

If you are speaking of the white balls he did on a special. I believe he was using the Makame hollow wood billard balls. I think they only come in one size. Stevens Magic use to sell them, so check with them, a quick check of their site did not turn up availability.

If you are speaking of the rhinestone balls he used in his award winning act, they are from France and very expensive. You can check with Abbott's Magic to see if they still have any left. Last I seen they had a few sets they were selling for $50, from the $150 original price.

The Nesto Balls that he used in Rhinestone cost over $250 for one set. I do not know if they can even be gotten any longer as a they are from Fance and only made by one person for many years.

Daniels act was very graceful....

funny ass thing, I tried to do a ball shell vanish using pingpongs using much the same position as Brett did, but my spectator saw that it was just a shell because of the light being behind me..
I would, however contest that there is in REALITY very little pportunity to perform what could actually be termed "close-up" magic.

That is why good rehersal is important! You could paint your ping pong balls to stop the transparentcy of the material. Or you could have spent $10 on a billard ball set.

It does not work to use the same size ball for the shell. I am speaking from experience of trying to make a wood set myself.

You can see a very small portion of his act on his website, brettdaniels.com under the montage video section.
