Dear people,

I would like to try a little experiment in remote viewing. I don't mind mentioning that I have been inspired by another member here at the Café in attempting this demonstration. Having read with much interest his experiment, I am starting to believe that I may be in possession of a similar gift.

I do, however, need a volunteer to help me with this. Anyone interested in helping out should post below. Please understand that this is not a joke; it is a genuine demonstration. Do not post if you are not sincere. Do not post without an open mind.

This should be interesting.

Hugs,
Stephen

If you decide not to choose Mr Patrick Redford, I would be more than happy to be the volunteer.

Ok here we go again...but let me say this....

I would love to see someone actually in posession of a gift as such...not a load which we see so often...I am skeptical but would follow every instruction to the letter to try to make this come to a successfull conclusion....

(I say this because the best volunteers for my hyp. show are those skeptical, but will follow directions...also what better advocate when they are shown)

I will in NO way hinder the experiment if it is a legitimate experiment in remote viewing, and not some goofy mentalist crap!

I would be honored to help and would give 100% to make it work.

As fourth runner-up, I would promise to diligently uphold my duties if the first three candidates proved unable to do so...
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

Since Patrick was the first to volunteer, it is him that I shall use for this experiment. It was originally my plan to email him to verify a few things, but thought it better to do everything out here in the open so everyone can follow our correspondence.

Patrick, I hope you don't mind answering my questions. Some of them are a little bit personal in nature. If there are any questions that, for whatever reason, you wish to refrain from answering, please answer them with a "-" and no more need be said on the subject. Wherever possible, I have tried to ask "closed" questions. It is important that from this point on in the experiment, you answer only the questions I ask you and do not embellish your answers in any way. I don't want people to think that I am getting any clues that I shouldn't be.

First of all, I hope you don't mind me sharing the following PMs we exchanged today:
Patrick: I'd be happy to volunteer
Stephen: Brilliant! I shall contact you via email to make sure you are the right sort of person for this demonstration. Is it [EMAIL ADDRESS]?
Patrick: indeed.

1.a) Is this a truthful and fair transcript of our correspondence (aside from the removal of your email address)?

b) Have we had any private correspondence other than this in the past?

c) I decided not to email you in the end. Is this true?

2. Are you a smoker?

3. Are you single or in a relationship (of any kind)?

4. Do you live alone?

5. Does the computer that you will be using to access the internet for this demonstration belong to you?

6. To the best of your knowledge, have I ever entered or seen the room that this computer (mentioned in question five) is located in?

7. Is all the above information accurate and truthful?

8. Think of a number between one and ten. Is it seven?

Remember, do nothing other than answer the questions (with a "yes" or "no" wherever possible). This demonstration relies just as much (if not more) on your cooperation and belief than it does on my "gift".

All the best,
Stephen

1.a) Is this a truthful and fair transcript of our correspondence (aside from the removal of your email address)? Exceptionally, yes.

b) Have we had any private correspondence other than this in the past? No.

c) I decided not to email you in the end. Is this true? Quite true.

3. Are you single or in a relationship (of any kind)? In a relationship.

4. Do you live alone? Indeed.

7. Is all the above information accurate and truthful? Yes.

8. Think of a number between one and ten. Is it seven? Sadly, yes.

Remember, do nothing other than answer the questions (with a "yes" or "no" wherever possible). This demonstration relies just as much (if not more) on your cooperation and belief than it does on my "gift".

-I beleive.

Danny you are on the wrong forum if you do not like Goofy Mentalist Crap.

Heck form here it looks like you are about knee deep in it and without hip boots or a spade.

I also think saying something like that show no level of respect for those here.

Patrick,

Thank you for your answers. They give me a very good idea of how to best proceed. Understand that the nature of the test requires that it be taylor made for each individual with whom it is attempted. Kindly await my further instructions. In the meantime, please do not post anymore in this thread (or indeed anywhere on the Café) about this experiment. In short, do not give anything away.

Smiles,
Stephen

Patrick,

I sense you have an opaque container somewhere in your place of residence that will help us in this demonstration. Something about the size of a shoebox, or possibly a little smaller. Please find this. We will continue when you have done so. Once again, I urge you to only confirm that you have this item when you post, and nothing more.

Danny, I feel inclined to politely yet firmly point out that you are disturbing the psychic ambience needed for this to succeed. Please take your negativity elsewhere. It is not welcome here.
