I am wanting to learn how to use Double Talk for misdirection and verbally confusing
people
A search on the Café was not very helpful except to mention an old book but no other details
A Google for Double talk and Spoonerisms or Stanley Unwin is very helpful
Any body else want to give their views/knowledge on this subject?

All Jacks posts that I looked at were short ones and could easily explained by
the tendencies that we all use when writing emails
I.E we all tend to miss out large chunks of information

Ah yes, TJ. I'm glad you like dear old Stanley Unwin - the Master of the Double Talk (or Gobbledy Gook)

I have his 'Rotatey Diskers' CD (Sequel Records NEBCD 934) and his book 'Fairly Tales' (Pub: Caedmon of Whitby). He also appears extensively on CD 'Ogden's Nut Gone Flake' by The Small Faces (Castle CLACD 116).

Good luck with your 'double talk' endeavours. It would likely be received better by the UK audience than it would here in N. America.

There's is a nice idea in one of Karrol Fox's books on Triple Talk. I've used the idea with success in the past. The particular book title escapes me now, but if you are interested, I'll find it when I return home. In the meantime, perhaps one of the other posters will be able to provide the information.

TJ Jack may never answer you as you have hit on the main method of his remote viewing thread demo. DOUBLE TALK!

He usually writes EXHAUSTIVE posts......check a few out over on the remote viewing things going on in this section......the double talk is amazing and I think he catches himself with it a few times~!

I have a couple books burried somewhere I can help you with..... I will dig and dig and try to find them for you.....

It is a lifestyle with Jack as he uses it extensivly in his mentalisim...... it is a powerfull tool to be sure in that mannor......what do you want to do it for?

Hello. The Triple Talk idea comes from Karrell Fox's book "Goodies" and is on page 166. The basic premise is that you have a simple list of buzzwords divided into three columns. The idea is that technical words are so hard to keep up with that if you slip a random trio of "buzz words" into the center of a regular sentence you will thoroughly confuse the audience. I wish I could say more, but due to "balanced policy contigencies" I am unable to at this time. In the Goodies book, you will see the layout of the words in the columns. It's super easy and can be very funny indeed. I performed for Dial Corp. a few years ago as a surprise speaker. I was falsely introduced as a Wall Street analyst, Harvard graduate, etc. I opened with a five minute speech filled with triple talk. They bought it hook, line and sinker. Hope this helps. If not, you could always use an optional management projection.

Double Talk For The Funny Of It by Docc Wayne for a bit less than $20
Although the title gave me a nice one:
'Do it for the funny of it'
The example phrases given in the ad are all made up words
What I am looking for is more 'real' DT
Like the example I gave above and Christopher's ones
The made up words are very easy for people to get on to
That's the end of the funny LOL
I want to be able to baffle them all the time
I told people to google Stanley Unwin
I don't know how many did but they have removed the audio clips and written transcripts that were available free and left the items for sale More LOL

It is more helpful if people could give some examples of the double talk than writing Norm Crosby used to do it
The Stanley Unwin Transcripts were great but they have been taken down
