I just heard that Kenton is releasing a new set of CD's somewhat similar to his Wonder Words Set but with the title "Knepper Linguistic Programming".
Does anyone have any more information on this? |

Kenton laughed and said whoever came up with the idea is a funny person. But no such CD's or even a book or anything else for that matter is in the works. Everything he is going to release is on his website. wonderwizards.com
The lecture was INSANE by the wya. After reading "Perfected Prediction" I will now establish a sizeable Shrine to Mr. Knepper in the left corner of my closet, where I will daily send him praise, and occasionally make some sort of sacraficial offering.... occasionally. |

Can you please or anyone else who attented Kenton's lecture give a write up or review whathaveyou? I consider that a gift for the holidays for us. (What an awkward tortured unwonderworded sentence!)

Yes. Kentons Lecture included work from Perfected Prediction, Trance This, Miraculous Ploys, Dunningers Delight, Mind Reading, An Enchanted Evening and a few other selected peices from various works.
As always at the Cedar Rapids lecture he tipped SEVERAL effects which are not in print, and won't be any time soon. He tipped part of Perfected Prediction at last years lecture to those who were paying close attention. He also went over revised handlings for Dunningers Delight and Black Tie, which are updated subtleties and nuances not in print. His added subtleties to Dunningers Delight make it nothing short of a miracle. May you all be blessed with at some point being able to witness this effect. He does not promise to give out free gifts, however he gave out many this year. He gave out Sharpie Sense, a set of optical illusion rings, stuff to make your own mojo-grow bag, enough to perform his black-tie for a while, and several other quick goodies. You can not go to a Kenton lecture and expect these gifts, however Kenton will always find a way to make the lecture enjoyable, and well worth your trip. To those who attend he always gives new special deals on his products. I for one bought well over 400 dollars worth of effects(I went to his website and added it all up), and paid $265. None of this is special treatment from being his friend I might add. Kenton is not one to play favorites and take away from others. He is one of the most genuine and kind men I've been fortunate enought to meet. These very deals (and many more) were offered to ALL who attended his lecture. He updated us on the Keith Barry tv show a little. Only showing us some of the material which will be performed, and explaining how difficult it is to get what you WANT to be shown, to be shown. Editors, newspaper columnists, agents, and even janitors (well maybe he didn't say the janitors....) all get their say in what gets cut to make money, and "better TV." And from what I understand (know that these ARE NOT KentonS WORDS, these are my own interpretations) most of the people behind making a TV show could care less about upholding the true ideals of our art. So much is cut that should not be. Timelines are changed so instead of getting 8 weeks to prepare for this trick you get 3 hours.... that sort of thing. He went on a few Rants about ethics and pirating magic DVD's and manuscripts. I can't say that he changed my mind on these issues, as I've always been against pirating. But he gave me a much better understand of WHY I hate these things. Afterwards he invited us all out to eat at Happy Chef where we talked magic and listened to Kentons wisdom. He performed a brilliant "disappearing sugar" effect with a sugar packet from the table. Even though I know the secret watching a brilliant artist perform it is always a treat. After the crowd thinned Kenton answered many of my questions concering routining my show, as well as giving my brother and I great insite into a better double-lift. Any more questions I'd be happy to answer. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and to all those I left out, have a Happy New Year!!! |

Good Gosh Kenton,
Do you think we don't know it's you? Saying things like " Even though I know the secret watching a brilliant artist perform it is always a treat." It's too much. James

Mstrpaige8183 does seem to post some interesting, almost advertisment sounding things, so is that you Kenton?
And if so, can you rip me off just 1 more time? |

Wow, how nasty and on the Holy Holidays! :0) If you read Mstrpaige8183 December 16th post on Routining I do not think you would still believe what you assume. Perhaps you're joking but if not do thou research first. Just breaks my heart.
I've noticed quite a lot of promotionalizing at the Café anyway. Hey it's Showbiz!!! Yeah, you's must be joking. Click here to view attached image.

Hey guys. The names Zach Paige, from Grundy Center Iowa. Yes I'm promoting Kenton, but only b/c he's the only magician I've ever seen perform. And I think his work is awesome. Its unique and fun. I'm not promoting in the normal sense though. I get nothing for advertising for him. Its really just reviewing. And if you read my posts on other magicians on other forums, I'm ALWAYS very generous on my reviews and kind to those that have helped me. I have nothing bad to say about Kenton thus far. When he screws me I'll let you know. I say the same things about Troy Hoosier, and Michael Starr. Both performers who have never given me a bad deal, or treated me poorly.
I assume however that most of you were really just joking about me really being Kenton. Since I did get a little over zealous in my "brilliant artist" stuff. But I just calls um, like I see's um. He does make his living doing this stuff. So he'd better have some skill. As far as MattisDX being ripped off. Its possible Kentons work just doesn't appeal to you. For instance Ellusionists website, I feel, is awesome. But I have this thing against street performing. I don't like it doing it. Its not me. So no matter what I bought from Ellusionist, it would suck. I wouldn't do it justice, I wouldn't put my heart into it. And there for the effects would not work. Is that Ellusionists fault for creating a bad product? Or my fault for buying stuff that I'm not really going to dedicate too perfecting? I don't fool myself. I don't buy color-changing suspenders either. What a ripoff? How terrible a product is that..... TO ME. Not for everyone. I don't wear suspenders. I'm 22 and that would look crazy with what I do. Nothing wrong with the product. Its just not for me. I wouldn't give it a bad review just b/c its not my style. |
