There now...you see...Everyone has their own opinion based on their own likes, dislikes and experiences. I happen to like James' and Ken's vids...and learned a lot from each. Now, my style is vastly different from Ken's and James'...so I taylored and personalized their routines and advice to fit my individual performance persona... voila... perfect fit! Magnifique! As much as I admire our Spy-Guy James Munton and... um.... that Atlanta guy... what's his name... oh, yeah...Ken Scott... I would never want to be a clone of either. I've been performing for over 30 years now...and I learned something new and entertaining from both of these videos. That's high praise in itself.

I'm not familir with Wayne's vid either, Dennis. I reckon we'll both have to get and watch this one, eh?

I never met James or Ross, but I have met Ken and his Straight style is excellent for those who have personalities like Ken.

James' DVD and the way he does his Teaching Magic show seem to fit James' personality. What I liked here was he did a lot of classic fun stuff, but in a unique way with the result of teaching magic. These two DVD cannot be compared to each other. It's like putting a manipulator with an illusionist, and saying which is better. Which is better apples, peaches, or oranges. They are all fruit but cannot be compared.

One of these days I get Ross' DVD and comment on it.

I have Mr. MacRae's magic dvd offerings. There are two as far as I know.
I have gleaned some choice nuggets off of each. The production quality is ok; they appear to be dvd-r done in a decent home studio setting. Definitely not slick Hollwood quality but thoughtfully put together and reasonably priced. (I have no financial association with Mr. MacRae; I simply made a puchase.)

I've just watched Wayne Keyser's DVD:
http://goodmagic.com/websales/bdaybiz/index.htm
and want to give it my vote of confidence.

It's not a super-slick production, but there is some great information in it. I wish I'd seen this years ago before I spent money on props I never use...

Kind regards
Mike

I'm a bit confused by Ross's DVD being repeatedly credited to Wayne Keyser. Is Ross Wayne's stagename or has there been some confusion?

Woops, I must have made a mistake - it is Ross' DVD, not sure WHY I put Wayne's name in my earlier post.

Wayne/Ross is the same guy. I'm pretty sure Ross is the show-biz stage name.

Hi,

I reviewed Ross' DVD myself last night (with no relation to him personally).

In my opinion, this disc should be recommended just as highly as Silly Billy's book!

They both are equal in importance to a children's magician, with Ross' disc in some areas covering even more the Billy's (and vice versa).

To those who have not yet purchased his DVD, I strongly encourage you to do so.

The two selections above, as well as a performance DVD from Ken Scott or Terry Herbert, would be the perfect starting package.

Best regards,
Tod

I also watched the DVD - "Magic without Mayhem"
Ohhh. It was so bad.
It was not funny or anything.
I'm sorry now! I needed to save my money to get this. Why did I buy this DVD?
