Hi
Can you help me in a bit of reserach? If you can think of the perfect Busker's store what books, DVD's and products would you like it to sell? Try not to mention Cellini or Gazzo stuff that is obvious! Mario |

Cellini's The Royal Touch (obvious, but too many people pass this tome up)
Cups Pouches Hats Billy McComb audio cd's (great advice about performing and magic) Linking Rings Dice stacking props PA systems (might as well go whole hog) the book "How To Win Friends and Influence People" Tarbell Course
Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile...can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction, "I served in the United States Navy." J.F.K.

Check out the MagicPitch store. You'll find a great list of "must haves." As far as I'm concerned, the "perfect Busker's store" already exists right there.
(and no, Steve didn't pay me to say that) (BTW Steve, I'll send you a bill )

Steve are you a busker?
Just go's to show how much you understood. I have been trading magic for about ten years. I know a fair few things about the trade. I always sell products at my workshops. If someone has knowledge of magic but is new to busking (which is always the case) I will tell them to have a go first with what they got already and save a bit of money. Beleave me that goes right against the grain of a Pitchman all Dealer. This is an old argument in sorts I have had with Mark Lewis. I cant sell products to folk if I don't beleave in and I can still make a good Grafter. I totaly beleave in learning from these sources. Back to the main point. Escape stuff any one? What kind of PA systems? Happy Christmas Mario |

What a fun idea! Let's see.....
Clothing racks hanging with loud jackets, vests, and pouches of various size & style. A giant 100-pronged hat rack with everything from derbys to fedoras to the most garish top-hats. Foot-coushioning gel-insoles Capri-sun style packets of hot lemon tea for the voice coin rolls, and money-counting devices Various sizes of Bose & pignose speakers, and hands-free mic systems, as well as computerized sound FX. All manner of pins & buttons with pictures &/ slogans ranging from benign to self-debasing An Online station for getting & renewing insurance, as well as acess to a constantly updated source on the zones & laws regarding busking. If you think it's odd that my buskers store has no actual TRICKS, cards, coins, gimmicks, etyc......this is a store for buskers...MAGIC stores have all that other stuff.
Everybody wants to beleive.....we just help them along.

Hey what about:
Horns, whistles and bells. Anti-mime spray (the kind that makes 'em talk or scream) A section for nothing but final loads, hell you could have a produce isle. Duct tape. (Tell me you havent had to fix anything, or shut akid up!) A Sharpie Marker isle. All sizes and Colors. Rope. An area where theres a map of all the greatest pitches in the world. You could charge huge money for this. I'll have to think about this some more. The mighty fool covered a lot of the essentials.
I am truly blessed to have a job where people are laughing all the time and everyone believes in magic....Come to think of it, I'm blessed to even have a job.

Well, there was this one time, when I was younger that I got paid for a performance in public, but then the cops came and I had to put my pants back on, and she left in a hurry. Lukily, all I got was a warning (and a rash). Does that count?

That goes without saying... You need them if you're a real busker. Bigger the better.
