I think magic auction is great. They are fast, precise, well described, and I've never had a problem.

Still I do prefer B&M

Many dealers have a price match policy--also you might want to wait for the frequent 25% off sales at Hocus Pocus and others before paying "regular retail" for new offerings.

Yea it seems daytona has a 25% of all books and dvds thing going..Question for Brian why do you shop so many places online..wouldnt it be easier to just stick to one or two favorite dealers

Not everyone carries the same products. Also I like to compare prices. And some have free shipping. There are a few of the sites that have specials on a regular basis.

There's a few good shops. before ordering, see if they have real time shopping carts. If they're too lazy and cheap to update their software, than they are probably, what's known in the business, as clown back order dealers. They take your money and only send half the order. Don't shop with them.

Also, see about shipping. It's best to go with free shipping. the dealers that hide their shipping costs are known in the business as clown over charge shipping dealers. Don't shop with them.

I have been happy with penguinmagic.com so far. The reviews are helpful too, but of course, at the end of the day you make your own mind up.

Hocus-Pocus is my favorite internet magic shop.

Hocus-Pocus at times has an offer where you buy one item for regular price and you get 50% off another item of equal or lesser price. This is a good offer because not all items qualify for discounts. So buy a non-discounted item for regular price and get 50% off another item... this is something I use when purchasing more expensive tricks.

At other times Hocus-Pocus offers 25% off any purchase (except for non-discounted items).

I have been using them more than any other magic shop on the internet. They also carry items that no other shop carries.

Hocus-Pocus is hard to beat.
