Nicely done, but IMO, the Bertram Change was too fast. This is one of those great changes that can be done slowly. Keep it up though

I agree with the rest of those who said it was nicely done. I thought both were great and don't have the slightest idea how either was done and don't want to know.

Nice job, Not a big fan of the Bertram change.
One I haven't put in the time to make it look flawless,
Two I feel its too perfect of a change.
None the less you did it very very flawlessly. Love the snap as well (I always have to tilt my hand in-wards). But great job.

Excellent job. Try slowing the Bertram change down a bit. It can still be done nicely at a slow speed. Otherwise, flawless.

I'm not familiar with the sleights and was mystified both times I watched it. I have no idea how you're doing it. I feel so warm and fuzzy I'm not even going to look them up--it looked like real magic.

Obviously you have practiced a lot. Great job. As far as slowing the presentation down is concerned, it depends on where in the overall show you fit the trick. I do this change almost as a flourish in the middle of other tricks. It helps distract the victim from other things I am trying. Doing it fast as you do in the middle of a presentation without notice sends their heads realling.

I agree Nordatrax, IMO, the younger generation of magicians don't seem to know who these classic magicians are, and they have no idea about the classic sleights. This is because of all the new magic DVDs coming out, which are showing new effects. There are rarely new moves taught, as it is rare a new move is created. The best place to learn effects and sleights IMO are in books. It is a shame that some people here posting probably havent heard of Charles Bertram or Ed Marlo. They might recognise the names but couldn't recognise one of their effects or moves, and this is obviously what is happening here. This is why when companies such as penguin and Ellusionist bring things out, younger magicians or beginner magicians go to them as they try and credit themselves with the classic moves

DVD's are a wonderful invention.

Anybody who's lived with Expert at the Card Table for the 30 years before card sleights showed up on DVD's, with their instant pause, slo-mo, and multi angles can appreciate actually seeing the moves done in real time.
Remember, we don't all live in LA, and can't just pop down to the castle to swap techniques with the masters.

I also thnk Ellusionist is a wonderful company, with a great web site. They're not making any such claims as re-inventing magic, just re-inventing how magic is sold.

A kid seeing the posters video will now know what a great Bertram and Snap actually look like.
