Try:
"How To Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs - A Step by Step Guide to Teach Yourself" By Mark Collier and Bill Manley (ISBN 0-7141-1910-5) And learn some of the language at the same time..A bargain at 10 pounds (about US$14-15) Regards, Kris Sheglova
The above is all rubbish, except that which you chose to believe

174517
PRIMO LEVI 174517 1919-1987 The number--174517--was tattooed on Levi's left arm in 1944 when he became a prisoner at Auschwitz. He bore it, and the memories of that hell, for the rest of his life. |

In his book David explains that the book hold clues to a treasure map and if you follow the clues you will find the map. If you find the map then you will find the treasure. Take the treasure to David and the money is yours! (or shared if more than one person finds it). There are lots of clues......Maybe I have gave you one already......and I believe that David himself did give a clue.......... |

You cannot use conventional methods to solve the heiroglyphics in the book because they are not writtin in proper Egyptian form. It may be possible that, once they are decoded and rearranged, that they form comprehendable sentences, but the way they are displayed in the book they are competely unreadable.
I am so confused on this puzzle. I go over to his forums every once and awhile and the people there are totally going crazy. One girl even had to quit because she started seeing aparitions and suffering from insomnia. Now she has to see a psychologist . The only part I really get is the "building codes" on page 200 I think it is. You can pretty easily realize what are the main puzzles in the book, but it is almost impossible to figure out how to decode them.

Anyone tried to give each heiroglyphic a unique number or letter yet??
And what about the dragons? Ain't decoded the building's windows yet. |

The building windows(pg 200)-turn the book 90 degrees counter-clockwise and read the far right building as if it's only showing the TOP HALF of each letter. It reads: A WONDERFUL LITTLE MAN WIGGED OUT HIS PEERS. This most likely has to do with the wonderful little man with a wig on page 29.
Read the middle building also turn the book 90 degrees counter-clockwise and read as if only the BOTTOM HALF of each letter is shown. It reads: A SCENT SO SEVERE ITS SHEER PRESENCE GLARES The third is the weirdest to read. Turn it this time clockwise and read so that both the top and the bottoms of letters are shown, but in an ALTERNATING PATTERN. The first symbol beign the top half of a T. It reads: TWENTY WHO ARE MUDDLED MUST MOCK THEIR MATE That seems to be the general concensus(sp?) over at his board although they could be wrong. Also about the hieroglyphics. Horace Walpole wrote a book called Horace Walpole's Hieroglyphic Tales. He was born in 1717. Reverse the last digits and get 71-the first page of the hieros. He died in 1797. You'll notice page 97 has another, smaller set. The part I don't get is the third set found on page 89. Perhaps it's nothing, but I think it's interesting still.
On the other hand, you have different fingers.

Ok, just looking through the book again. There's also hieros on pages 189, 168, and 118. All these numbers have 8s in them. Plus page 71 (7+1=8) has it and 97 (in between those two) has to do with 8. Something. The numbers 4 8 and 12 happen a lot in the puzzles. Weird.
On the other hand, you have different fingers.

Could someone please give the link for his(David Blaine's) board where this is being discussed? Or is it just a board for people who own the book?
Also, does anyone know if anyone won this yet? This seems like a very interesting puzzle so I might think about getting the book sometime and trying myself, as well as to read the book itself too. Thanks, Mack Magic
