In this wonderful book is a routine called A Modest Memory Routine. Part of this routine involves the performer telling a story and then having the audience being able to recite various facts that usually, people would miss.
Do you feel this section of the larger routine (which involves a small card memory demo) could stand alone as a interesting (if not amazing) demonstration of memory. First, I display how my memory is brilliant and then I 'teach' the audience to have an amazing memory as well. |

Yes I do.
But one must be able to do so. Jack H.O.A-X |

Barrie's book is full of great routines.
Teaching people to use THEIR minds to do things that THEY might think are impossible will help you convince audience members that your "special abilities" are real. The real challenge is to make what you teach them fun and brief. I often use mnemonics to teach people to say the alphabet backwards in about 5 minutes ... then display my advanced training as a memory expert. My method is found in Mentalism, Incorporated. Thanks Chuck!
I caught your lecture in Sydney at Taylors and now oftne open with a magic square thanks to you! Do you feel that barrie's story would 'stand alone' without the rest of his routine? |

I LOVE that alphabet-backwards mnemonic. Thank you for including it in Mentalism, Incorporated, Chuck!
