I would suggest a chair levitation using the birthday child. That is a strong closer.

Hi I don't like vanishing the doves during my kids show as the kids all like to touch my doves after the show and if they have been vanished they will be like there back again when they come to patting time. thanks for you suggestion.
the chair suspension is a very good closing routine but I don't think my style of magic. thanks Richard |

Richard,
The Chair Suspension can be a wonderful illusion for any performance. It is not the prop that makes the magician but what you do with the prop that makes it fit your style. You can perform the chairs in any type of style you want as long as you are willing to make it your own. I have performed the chair suspension hundreds of times and every single time it gets such a great response from the audience. It has become a great ending for my shows and one in which people request me to perform quite often. If you are doing a birthday party show, it is a wonderful way to float the b-day child and really make them the star of the show. You can then take a polaroid at the time the child is suspended and this makes for a wonderful give-a-way item that will be shown to people long after your party is over. It is just something to think about. If you are interested, I currently have an e-book I just finished writing last night that goes over a lot of information concerming the performance and prinicples of the chair suspension. It is a 15 page word file and I have been sending them out to anyone who wants it for free. It is my pleasure. Perhaps this document might be of interest to you for your reading pleasure. If so, just let me know and I would be happy to send it over to you or anyone else that might like it. Kyle

Or, Chance Wolf's Wacky Weasel...I "believe" he's on sale right now at a very low price here, on the Café...hint, hint!:-)
Actually, I used him and got repeat booking all the time from him. However, I'm moving to another closer, so I won't need him this season, and want to liquidate him for something else. VERY strong closer, uses the "look don't see" principle till the kids are almost insane, and the "wild animal in the bag" is hilarious (makes kids squeel!) And kids BEG to see him after the show! The DVD will show you everything! Best Regards, Chris |
