I just wanted to know who you have seen and believe to have the best second-deal. the two at the top of my list are Martin Nash and Richard Turner.

I can't give his name, but a pro mechanic friend of mine in Nevada has all those mentioned beat. I've seen him dealing in a casino where he ran up stacks and dealt seconds at a blackjack table.
His bottom is totally invisible from the "Eye in the Sky" too... He deals "sorts" ie: He sets up decks with the high cards either rougher or smoother than the low.

I'd say Nash, but in his younger days. Now he seems to have slowed down a little with age, but that's understandable.

On second thought... (pun intended) the BEST false dealers have not been seen, or caught that is... when they deal YOU DON'T SEE ANYTHING suspicious... they just take the money.

For me Richard Turner is the best false dealer.

As per the original question (best second deal), in no particular order: Steve Forte, Gary Plants, Jason England, Jack Carpenter, Paul Wilson, Richard Turner, David Malek, Martin Nash, and Darwin Ortiz. I can only comment on the guys I've seen--no pun intended.

Turner is the best I have seen.

Jim Cooper could deal cards. Rod The Hop deals a mean "not-from-the-top" card. Jack McMillen could false deal, multiple-method seconds, better than most anyone I've ever seen. And Jack could switch techniques in mid-deal and not miss a stroke - try that! Charlie Miller - tops, even when I knew him, and he was getting old then. Steve Freeman - gentlest touch I'd seen at the time, soft take, really relaxed. Gary Plants - great hands on that guy...
Others have already been mentioned - Ortiz, Forte, Turner, Jason England, Nash. I never saw Gazzo, but he dealt the "bump", so his second had to be pretty good - he got it from Walter Scott, didn't he? There's more, but the first bunch are guys who comes to mind that I've seen, spent time with... Oh yeah, I saw some old-timers from the Bay area - Jay Bedsworth and Frank Shields were really good. And there is a guy whose no one ever gets to see, but he could deal some cards - David Michael Evans... Best, PSC

I've only seen Jason England and Gary Plants. But Jason has nothing but admiration for Steve Forte. He's on Lance Burton's video and he's awesome.

Hands down, Steve Forte.
Ortiz makes Fortes omlettes for him.

I am quite partial to Richard Turner and Damian Neiman's deals but Mr. Z has a second that I secretely covet.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

Ive never seen anyones deal that was perfect. I mean even ortiz I can tell when he is deal base. second deal I cannot tell but I guess pete is right the guys who are that good no one can tell. The only reason I can tell I think I because they let you know when the cheat is dealing from the bottom
you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but never all of the people all the time.

No question - Roy Walton. He uses strike seconds with an imperceptible brief. Even knowing what he is doing it is difficult to spot the deal.
