James Reneaux
Who wrote the book "The Professional Technique for magicians"
I saw him perform at Abbott's in the early 80's.
He was on Don Alan's Magic Ranch show.

James Reneaux was a terrific dove worker...One of the best magicians of that era. He was a member of the exclusive Lambs Club in NYC which had many members from the Hollywood scene. I will PM you with more info.
Best Regards,
James

Despite its small size, "The Professional Technique for magicians" was one of the best books on showmanship I've ever read.

John Moehring did an article on him in the MUM for which I furnished some photos for from his 1980's performance on magic.

Are there any photos of James Reneaux available? Does anyone know approximately how old he would be? I'm asking because I knew a Jim Reneaux in college almost 40 years ago, and it would be interesting to find out if he was the same person.
Woke up.
Fell out of bed.
Dragged a comb across m' head.

I worked with Jimmy dozens of times on cruise ships. Last I heard, he was living in PA.
