The PSI Series by Banachek seems very interesting at least from the description.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with his work yet, all I know he's been working a lot with Criss Angel on his specials. But how does this set compare to the Osterlinds sets, and is it a good buy?? Jack.

I would get all 4. I have all four and they are great. I would put them right behind Osterlinds Mind Mysteries Series.

Volume 3 is one of my favorite volumes. It is very informative. It has a very indepth explanation of muscle readings. All 4 are great and I highly recommend them.......

Well, it depends on how you view it. Muscle reading, like some other stuff with regards to mentalism, are not things that you can pick up immediately. You need time to get used to the feel of muscles to be able to find what you are looking for.
However, once you pick it up, its a very powerful tool that requries no gimmick and to me, is as close to real magic. So its not a matter of practical or not, but rather are you willing to spend time to make this miracle practical. Reason I say this is because with experience and effort, this is one definte practical effect that can be done anytime, any place. But if you prefer things that can be picked up fairly easy, then I would say this is not practical for you. For me, I find vol 3 and 4 to be better than vol 1 and 2, but that's just me Cheers!

Volume 4 seems to be the most interesting of them all, I'm not sure my budget (and wife) will alow me to get all of them right now, so I guess I'll go for the Vol.4 first, as long as there's no link to the other volumes that makes it a must to start of with vol.1 first and then vol. 2 and on...?

Correct. Each effect stands on its own.

Volume 4 needs to be purchased in conjunction with Banachek's other metal bending dvd am I right? it can't stand on its own as most metal bending are not taught?

I have vol 3 and it will really require a lot of practice. but once you have the knack of muscle reading, you surely will be ready to perform anytime anywhere...
still saving up for the other volumes... |

How are the mentalism miracles in vol.1 and 2 as compared to say, Richard Osterlind's Mind Mysteries which in my opinion are really good?

I love vols 1-2, 4. I really found vol 3 (muscle reading) incredibly interesting, but I could not do it....but the others are fantastic and Banachek is the best for my money.

The Muscle Reading volume is great. I had never seen this before, very cool effects possible...Criss Angel did a Viper Key location find no doubt heavily influenced by Banachek...

Get 'em all! Why? Because once you get one or two, you'll want the others.
