Todd,
During the years that you spent living in France, you must have seen the work of some talented French magicians who have relatively low profiles outside of France. Would you care to share your thoughts on any such individuals?

Rumour is that Todd is working on a big Gaetan Bloom book. Could you give us any insider on the advancement of this book Todd?

John: Let's see. Francois Normag is a very creative performer, at one time doing an act with four hands! Hugues Protat is a great comedy magician over there; another is Christian Gambin. Thierry Collet does superb magic with trained acting skills. For big illusions, Dany Lari constantly amazes. For cards, Jean-Jacques Sanvert was a favorite. I also liked the inventiveness of Sylvain Mirouf, the poetry of Jacques Delord, and the black light act of Xavier Hodges.
BrainMagos: Gaetan's book is going to be amazing, with 150 of his effects, the whole story of his life, James Hodges illustrations, and his theories on magic. Look for it this year (I hope!). |
