I am developing a routine idea with both the Cups and Balls and a Chop Cup (both done seperately or as a combo Cups and Balls act). Before I dive too far into the creative process of it and claim it is my own unique routine, I was wondering if anyone has ever used a "Rubber Ducky" in their routine?

I have never used a 'Rubber Ducky" in my cup routine, but I have used one in the tub.

Rationally, since Sesame Street was first broadcast back in the 1970s, the odds are very good that folks have used it as a load, a squeaker, a mascot and probably a container for a signed card over the years.
Rubber ducky, you're the one You make card tricks so much fun ...

I have 4-5 DVDs with variations of the rubber ducky song by Sesame Street that my 2.5 year old daughter loves...... I am now working my way through Dora, Blue's Clues, Disney (take you Pick), and karaoke and videogames.. Seriously (although I was before), go to TJ Max or Off the rack....they have the squeeze toy of the month always available.... However, the goshman frog and micophone have caought my wife and daughter completely off guard... I have not tried them outside of this focus group yet....they are usually more understanding....

LOL...great posts so far guys... I'd seriously like to know of other people using a rubber ducky in their Cups and Balls or Chop Cup routines... I have a great idea but don't want to call it my own unless infact it is my original idea..

I don't recall anyone doing so. However, before Ricky Jay changed his style, he was likely to produce anything from under a cup. So don't be surprised if someone says he did it first.
For purposes of discussion here, though, it's yours.

Even if no one at the Café' ever used a rubber ducky in a cups routine before it's possible that someone that doesn't use this board just may have.
I tried a duck load a few years ago but it was to noisy and really didn't fit the right way into the cup. Be unique; some of the best routines magicians are known for were created by someone else. Just make it your's!

You don't have to include those puns in the routine, do you?

There is an effect on the market that uses puns like that and they make the routine very entertaining. With the right design even the worst make up of words can be entertaining.
