Just wanted to air some thoughts (well, one actually)and see what you guys think.
On one hand there are lots of DVD's that I haven't purchased. And that's not because I didn't have a leaning towards them. But rather it's because I don't possess a bottomless pit and if I've got a hundred spare I have to take a second out and think. The main point being here that apart from 'the blurb' which is always going to sound good, right? I simply have no idea of 'the feel or quality of the artefact. The problem is we have to buy before we try as opposed to the other way round (see title of subject). These skilled tailors probably knew a thing or two when they started their marketing ploy of inviting us to 'try the jacket on'. For example, If I had seen an: Osterlind, Banacheck or Kuffs (I really like him) performance I think I would have immediately purchased these DVD's instead of waiting awhile or even like some, buying second hand ones down the line. Now I'm not talking about method here, but rather performance. I just know that after watching the performance of any of the three mentalists mentioned (and many more) I would immediately be looking out my credit card in order to 'purchase the method' there and then. And there are some magic sites now that show tiny clips of the performance prior to placing an order, which I think is terrific. What do you think? Is this the way the DVD market is going to go? Bobser (I like to watch!)

Yes. It is essentially already there. Many of the new effects, and some DVDs have what will become internet previews as previews on other DVDs while others have the previews on line now. Looking into my crystal ball, the only ones that wont have previews (or will have extreamly slick, multi-cut/FAKE previews) will be the inferior products, or the unknown performers marketing their own wares.
