What can you do with these? I have seen them, but don't know what they can be used for. Are there any videos I can see of them?

Carney Secrets or Smokin Candies. John Rogers cigars are beautiful, but they look too real for my use.

You should call John and ask what he recommends. I tried making some, myself. I now have some of John's. They are excellent.

5/8 inch for me
I have been doing the cigars for more than 25+ years, inspired in fact by Jack Chanin in late 70's. though for years now I look at the beautiful replicas at http://www.woodencigars.com and they are gorgeous.... I have used wooden dowels cut down sanded quickly to a point at one end, painted brown and a cigar band glued on. I carry two with two purses one of them fixed. The only reason I haven't graduated to the beautiful replicas is that I beat the hell out of them when I smash them together showing that they are solid (not folding). You know they may not look exactly like real cigars (and I toyed once with the idea of wrapping paper bag paper ala paper mache like to get a more realistic texture but abandoned that for the same delicate reason) but no matter the effect plays so strong. I am known for this in the southeast... had not ever had a problem with anyone questioning genuineness... of course I am a brute and I work fast and the specs generally don't see the props too long...but that's me... my point... make the things up to get into the trick it is the best.. at one time I would carrry them everyday... one other cool idea.. this also plays to kids real well as you do a multiple production from them but many times I change to small craft store bought fake bannanas ($1.29 for two) with a big banana kicker end. same moves just more identifiable props..."Have a Banana?//?...YOu mean Abracadabra" I say...the old stock line What a great trick .. lots of chance to improvise.. don't let the props slow you down from doing it. Anyone have a source for the very small purses used in cigar routines?

John Rogers makes them. You can also get them from Hocus-Pocus. The ones they sell are specially made.

James and Bill are both right! I think that John Rogers products are superior in workmanship and ease of use!

Just received the Ton Onasaka tiny purses from Stevens. They are perfect, and shipping was free. Nice moves on the John Rogers disk. Between Carney, Kenner, and Rogers I have a great routine. Can't believe I never looked at this before.

I am currently using Arlen Studios Multiplying Cigars. They look great and are super easy to manipulate. The only drawback is that they are a little small for stage work in larger venues. So, I have spoken with John Rogers about his and although I will have to completely change my routine, I am taking a serious look at the wooden cigars from him.

Also, don't forget the kicks you get when you have a John Rogers 'hanging ash' cig on the edge of your lip in an elevator. The mumbled cussing as you leave is priceless!

They are very difficult to light, but once you get them lit, they burn quite well, almost as well as a vintage Martin D-45.
