Rick Haslett is a fire genius and a really nice guy. I like his products and the fact that he stands behind everyting he sells.
The electronic ignition system is incredible. A.J. |

How would ou compare this wallet with the new wallet sold by Mr. Jim Pace at Hocus-Pocus ($50.00) called Volcano wallet. I am pretty sure that Volcano Wallet does not use an electronic ignition system but does use flash paper for an initial flash of fire which is nice and the wallet can be shown "empty."
Volcano wallet seems a bit smaller than the Haslet Wallet and therfore easier to carry. Which is better to have: an electronic ingition system or use of a fl...t wh..l? An electonic ignition may be easier to use but do they have more of a tendency to break down than a manual ignition system? Which wallet would prevent the lighter fluid from drying out the longest period of time? Which of these wallets do you recommend? Woudl yoo recommend the Viking Fire Wallet? Thank you very much. Best regards, Michael

I don't own the volcano wallet so I can't compare the two. But I can say that electronics are always better in my opinion. and you can show Rick's wallet empty after the fire. You can also use flash paper for an initial flash. I've had no problems with Rick's products so I stand behind them. You can't go wrong.

The best fire products on the planet. The ignition systems are permanent and maintenance free ( not like glow plugs that burn out ). By the way maintenance free means just that if used as per the instructions this stuff will last forever just change the batteries.

I'm glad someone has one-it looks great.
Couple questions: A) How many card slots does it have? and B) How often do you have to fuel it? Can I fill it on Monday and not use it all week and have it work on the following Sunday (just as as an example) and have it still work or will the fluid evaporate? Thanx! Jamie D. Grant

This wallet is not meant to be kept in your hip pocket but rather is to be kept in your jacket pocket so accidental ignition should not be an issue.
Best regards, Michael

Hi All,
Well, it looks like I'm going to pick up one of these but am now deciding on colour... I would usually go for black without question but I seem to remember someone posting that you can't see it very well if you wear black a lot. This is kind of a stupid question but I've never had a fire wallet so... Whatcha' think? Jamie D. Grant

The fire flowing out of it makes it visible no matter what color it is! But it is true that a lighter wallet is easier to see from a distance if it's up against a dark background. I have a black one and I haven't had any visibilty problems.

I've used many fire wallets over the years and the "Supreme Fire Wallet" is by far the best. My biggest issue with previous wallets was that they wouldn't hold fuel very long. Using a fire wallet table hopping is an excellent bonus and this is the only wallet that will last a many hours (used multiple time throughout the night.) The workmanship is by far superb and the working to conceal the gaff is just what I need. The quality of leather used for the wallet is the kind that you'd use for your personal wallet. A++

I know this is a bit late considering the dates on these posts but for anyone looking at this now, there is really only ONE choice when it comes to Electronic Fire Wallets. Peter Austin is without the BEST electronic fire wallet maker in the world. Peter's wallets blow away all other electronic fire wallet and make any other look like child's play. I have seen both Hasslet's wallets and Peter Austin's and there is absolutely NO comparison in design, innovation, and quality. Not only is his basic electronic fire wallet (Electro-Blaze) better than any other, but its also LESS expensive than the others at $95.00 vs. $125.00. Not only do you get the best electronic fire wallet, but he also includes all kinds of accessories (mini fuel bottle, extra wicks, batteries, and more) and a sweet metal tin box to put it all in.
Mr. Austin also has 5 or 6 other electronic fire wallets that combine multiple fire effects into one wallet! These wallets are one of a kind and as far as I know do not exist anywhere else in the world. Its really amazing what he does, you should check out his website before purchasing anyone elses! http://www.peteraustinmagic.net Respectfully, TheMagicMaker |

This is a coincidence! I was referring to your wallet at the end of my review...

Hey Jamie,
Wow, that is most certainly a coincidence. I clicked on the link though and didn't seem to find anything that you've written. It seemed to be a review of the heirloom wallet but nothing about fire wallets though. Perhaps you put the wrong link? I'm just curious, what wallet did you end up getting? Did you get one of Peter Austin's? Respectfully, TheMagicMaker |
