Hiya, Magi:

The interview I did last December has hit the paper (The Orange County Register "Westside Weekly" for you local mooks). Nice write up, and the best looking picture you'll EVER see on a cat tray liner, IMO Smile

[Not sure about the paper's policy on direct links, but you can register for free and take a gander right here: http://epaper.ocregister.com/Default/Cli......99866375 ]

Can another daring sting operation be in the works? Will a jailbird Magician at last make a clean break with his chequered past? Will the ex use this against him in court?
The drama - the intrigue - oh, the humanity...

Leland,

You're looking good. If you get busted again you will really hit the big time!

Whatever the outcome, it will still be magic. Have at it!

Thanks for the kind words, Magi -- so far, I'm still a step ahead of the gendarmes!

BTW, this newspaper article (while obviously an ego boost and a PR aid) contained a rare bonus: The reported wrote about several of the effects I did for him during the interview, describing them for readers. I had the opportunity to analyze my stuff through the eyes of the audience -- and, true to clice, the description was appreciably more impressive than the actual effects, IMO Smile

Leland,

You are no amateur. You know it is not just what you did. It's what you made them feel about what you did. It was magic!

Congratulations!

To get slightly off the subject. One of the first tricks I ever learned was "cut and restore", well it was so easy I got tired of doing it, until I saw Jimmy Ray do it for about 15 minutes to a screeming audience, so I now do the Jimmy Ray version at every show. If you go to jail I'll send you a cake with a saw blade in it so you can break out.
