IMHO, Todd Robbins and Paul Zennon's books are both worth a read, but Simon Lovell's is the best of the bunch.

I need to get my hands on some of these books. They're all great. My current favorites are 100 ways to win a tenner (zenon), modern conman (robbins) and how to cheat at everything (lovell).

So is how to cheat at everything by lovel really the same as Billion dollar Bunko?
If they are there is a big price difference - anyone know the reason for that? Thanks Dave |

If I've heard correct, Billion dollar bunko is the hardcover version, whereas How to cheat at everything is the paperback version. The price difference, I think, is because you can't get "Billion Dollar Bunko" anymore (out of print I think, if not very rare to find). How to cheat at everything is slightly more common

Hey gang,
You'll be happy to know that I have almost completed writing Volume Two of Bamboozlers. My artist has begun submitting some of the illustrations as well. If all goes well it should be out before the end of the year. Expect the same format and quality (leather, gilt edges, pocket-sized). |

Here's another good one but unfortunately it's out of print too. "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break" by John Fisher. I have seen it occasionally on ebay. It's a 128 page paper back. Published in 1976.

If anyone is thinking of getting "A 100 ways to win a tenner" (100 ways to win a ten spot is the USA version) I do recommend it- it's a really nicely produced book, well illustrated and amusingly written.
You may want to look at my review of it here http://www.squidoo.com/win-cash |

Gambler's Digest, edited by Clement McQuaid, includes several betchas as well as lots of great (true) stories and gambling lore. Amazon has it.

I know that this is an old post, but Magic, Inc. in Chicago just published Simon Lovell's new book called "Betcha! How to win free drinks for life."
It got a nice review from Eric Mead on the October issue of Genii. Considering that Mead has amassed an incredible amount of bar bets over the years, it is impressive to hear that he found at least a dozen in this book that he had not seen before. Check out the description and content here: http://www.magicinc.net/betchahowtowinfr......ell.aspx |
