Lady-J. Your real name is Zimmerman (i'm not sure of the exact spelling as I only hear it in my mind, not see it) You are proud of the name because of its history and the inner strength attached to it (because of the story.)

As one's age or maturity progresses, I understand the summarily exhibited inclination toward the study and exploration of things mental vs. magical. There is even delight in discovering the secret truths shared by mentalism and magic. When discussion get this long, I'm especially drawn because it means that many viewpoints are expressed and even details of points are hashed and rehashed. I always find personal growth in studying these details.
And of course, I find delight and fascination in the display of showmanship in the written word - so very hard to accomplish - but successfully so by the likes of Jack. I've always enjoyed the out-cleverizing, but carefully chosen words of the few who treasure such things (ie. out-cleverizing, carefully chosen words) - Salsa Dancer comes to mind. Thankfully, because this forum is divided into sections, we are all preaching to the choir. And for me, sometimes, the attempts to pontificate grow tiresome because we can see through the gaps in the back of the preacher's robes. After all, it is our training. I cannot flip a coin for Jack. Not because I fear what I might learn, but because I fear what Jack might learn. And if Jack learns it, he will surely use it or teach it to others. And I can see right through that crack in the back of his robe. Though it is fun, something surely smells. Silly is one of my tenets. And if I flip a coin in the privacy of my home and report to Jack, I'd feel sacrilegious. So, Lady-J, when one presents himself as real, you must separate show business from your truth - or more accurately, YOUR definition of 'real'. The closest answer I can give you at this stage of my life is - if you accept it, it is real. But before you accept it, remember where you are: the church that deceit built. And we are all students. |

Man Keith that was like reading a poem.
The only thing I disagree with is "if you accept it, it is real". I have never bought into this line of thinking. Just because somebody on Acid see's funny little monkeys swimming in a lake of fire water, does not mean that the monkeys or the fire water are real. |

There's a story about a patient of C. G. Jung who brought Jung dreams for analysis for six weeks then mockingly revealed to Jung that he had made them all up and Jung's comments were therefore useless. "They're still your dreams," Jung replied.

Clever as it may be, Jung's reply is wrong. They're not his dreams, they're his inventions. Dreams are not ordinary inventions, although both draw from the imagination. Therein, metaphorically, lies the rub: believing in something (which is, objectively speaking, false) doesn't make it real, even to you, no matter how convinced you may be of it being true. If it were true, believing in it would bring about no inconsistencies in your percieved view of the fabric of reality. In contrast, believing in something which is false, does bring about such rifts in everyday logic. Andrei |

I also like Andrei's thinking, except HIS sentence of "In contrast, believing in something which is false, does bring about such rifts in everyday logic." I wish that it were so. There are so many examples of the contrary in day to day life and in the news. |

Lady J-
Your original queston has been hijacked into a Galloway tickle-fest. Fun, but not anwering your question. If you want to experience real psychic functioning, sign up for a course in Silva Mind Control. Experience it, don't read about it and analyze it and pontificate with an assumed knowledge. The psychic thing is experiential. You MUST experience it, not study it.

I asked this ina thread somewhere I think the one that got deleted? Anyhow where are all these psychics that go on these courses? Why aren't they finding missing people or Bin Laden? Demonstrating on CNN their remarkable abilities.
Must be at least one student of xx psychic course that can give a solid demonstration.Thats what I don't get about people who claim belief in Psychic ability.Where is the evidence that convinced them? |

Harry I have asked that same question in a number of different ways no less than 50 times on these boards. Not one person has answered it. Good luck!

Harry Jack can't RV I think that has been shown. However just because he can't RV doesn't mean nobody can RV.
Also Jack can't tell you your book, because Jack himself did not set up the test. |
