Hi, I'm interested in purchasing Banachek's psi series 1st and 2nd volume. But I would like to know whether there are many gimmicks that are used in the tricks. Thanks.

Great choice. There are not too many gimmicks and most of them you have or can make easily. Have fun.

Are they merely rudimentary card tricks 'reinvented' as mentalism or are they killer osterlind like material?

Killer material. Banachek is one of the most prolific creators in mentalism - it certainly is NOT card tricks with a mentalism twist!
You cannot go wrong with his material - get all 4 DVDs. Si |
