Has anyone on the Café been using these? I hera they are nice, but people go back to the coin version.

I haven't seen the three poker chips version... I do have 'Black & White' surprise though which uses two and always goes down well...

I'm not a coin guy, but...
I've been using the "Poker Chip Surprise" and IMO it's fantastic. Beautifully made and very colorful, so the audience can keep track better. I rated this as the best trick of '05 in another thread. I like Pete's simple, but effective routine better than most of the others I've seen. I still like to use the coins sometimes, but this is my preferred version. And, so topical. Plus, you get a very nice Himber wallet, so there's no need to go into the pockets. Robert |

Has anyone actually bought this effect as advertised by Unique? I'm interested how it compares with the Stevens effect in terms of the wallet(s)supplied. Unique state that it is credit card size and I wondered how ordinary or prop-like it is.
Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I love this item. I like coins. But for this effect, the Pokerchips are such a nice touch. And you can't beat the craftsmanship.
The routine needed some work (just kidding, Pete). Seriously, though, the routine works so well, and is modern. RevJohn |

A friend showed me these today. They are gorgeous. They're real chips and They nest perfectly.

The fact that I am stocked up on 12 sets now should tell you something. Copper/Silver/Brass is a great effect but not very practical for visibility especially in lower lit venues. You won't be disappointed.

Richard, I think your buying up 12 sets has flagged for folks that there must be something special about this effect!
It used to be easy to get one used for $50.00 or so, now it's impossible! Honestly though, (and I've only got two sets) this effect rocks. The Porper set works better than a Copper/Silver/Brass IMHO because you're dealing with three colors, Red, Green, Yellow......it's clean, direct, and easy to follow. There's also the bonus that all the chips "sound" the same. The fact that the props are eye candy is a bonus. |
