The magician calls upon a spectator to lock the magican's hands with handcuffs, then the magician in coincidence drops something (handcuffs, key, etc.) and pretends to pick it up. When it's done, the handcuffs on the magician's hands are suddenly gone and the spectator is wondering where the handcuffs went. The handcuffs are locked on the spectator's legs (but I think for legs, handcuffs may be too small...maybe on the spectator's hands or maybe we use legcuffs...).

There are a number of routines where the mage is restrained, hands behind the back, and then two spectators are asked to hold his wrists. The mage walks forward, free, and they are chained or tied together.
