I have past experience building web sites but am trying to build one for the first time to promote my magic.

I would like to know of the examples of clear visual web sites that people know of and any opinions about quality, content etc.

I know html and have a good friend that has done web design. So we can do anything that is possible to do.

In terms of magic web sites, and from a design perspective, I like:

But for general design ideas and inspiration, you should check out

New,

Some of those are nice sites, but since they all sell some sort of magic, I don't think they're as helpful for Jonathan as magician's sites. Even Paul Daniels sells products.

Selling products and promoting yourself as an entertainer are very, very different things.

My site was designed by a professional to be clean and simple. You can check it out and see if you like it. http://www.deep-magic.com

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. - Einstein

Jonathan asked for, "examples of clear visual web sites that people know of"... it's irrelevant as far as I can see whether the web sites happen to sell products or not, I don't see how that precludes them from being clear and visual?

Your own web site (which I enjoyed browsing) is selling something too... it is selling you!
