I was browsing the net and just look at maher studios web site, I was surprised when I see their banner saying that they will be closing their store this comming April 14 permanently..how sad that they are closing, they give the best course in ventreloquism..

It is a sad day ! They were the only vent specialist store .

It is very sad to me also. I recently sent in my test for part two of the Maher Course. They will surely be missed.

Years ago, I got the course on cassette.

This is truely a very sad event. The detwieler family have supported the art of vent since clinton to over the maher name from fred wife. It is truely a end to a era. They have not only been there as a great source for products but for advice and encouragemnt as well. This is very very sad news.

Who was it that took over the course and is now offering it?

I dealt with Maher so many years ago I think it was before rope. Never took the course but bought a bunch of books and was a member of their org. Remember that little paper sticker?

Well they gave it a shot and it made the world a better place. That's a good thing.

We'll all remember them.

I am a graduate of the Maher School and it is hard to imagine that they are leaving the business. My little buddy Woodrow is here today because of their excellent workmanship. I purchased a figure of a little old man that was advertised on the net several years ago. Someone ordered him and then didn't claim him so I was able to purchase him at a bargain basement price. I soon discovered that I couldn't convincingly sound like an old man (even though I am one). I sent him to the Maher Studio and they did a make over on him and now he is a cute little wise guy that I have a perfect voice for. Thanks again Mahers. I will miss you.

They will be missed but they have left a great memory with all the vents that they helped!

I'm mighty glad I have several versions of the Course--the best vent info under two covers anywhere.

About a year ago I was racking my brain trying to decide which ventriloquist instructional course/DVD(s) to order. I chose The Maher Course and I am so glad that I did. I would have hated to miss out on it.
