Does anyone know where I may find Mark Strivings' "Froggie" routine?
It's a prediction effect using an origami frog and a shuffled deck of cards. A free selection is revealed by unfolding the frog for the correct prediction. A nice mentalism effect for a close up set with children present. I believe Mark Strivings had it in one of his lecture notes and a video but not certain if it's still available or which specfic one. Thanks Bosco |

Froggie was put out as a seperate release and may have been included in Mental Melange. I have the manuscript although I don't have the props. It came with a deck of cards and some prefolded billets, although both are described in the book and are easily made. I don't use it and you're welcome to it.

I can see the big deal with this effect. Force a card, reveal it as a prediction. Maybe it plays big to a layman but I'd probably be more impressed with the paper folding than the actual prediction.

The method in Froggie allows the spectator to choose any card, no force. But keep in mind that the method will not appeal to most because it requires more work than many will put in. Usendme, email Mark at MarkyApril@aol.com to find out more.

Thanks for the input everyone.
The effect caught my interest when I read that no "force" was involved in the routine. Mark Strivings has some interesting methods for achieving the outcome of his effects. I was curious to understand how he structured the routine "froogie". Candini, what is "Melvin the mindreading frog" like? Bosco |
