Hello everyone. My question about the Tarbell Course in Magic is this: If you were to order the set or individual volumes, which online company would you order them from? I've read a lot of horror stories on The Magic Café about some online companies not filling orders. Your advice is appreciated.

Personally, I HIGHLY recommend
I ordered from them recently and had my order the NEXT day. Now THAT is service. Smile
Mallusionist definition of the Simple force: The cards are fanned and if the spectator tries to take the wrong card, the magician holds onto the deck really, really tight.

Don't listen to anybody except for me. Buy them from Ebay. That's what I did and I saved $100. They came in great packaging and they came in 3 days. It was $90 for volumes 1-7 and 9 dollars for shipping.

I can't match the Ebay price, but I would be happy to send you a complete set or any volumes you want for a great price.

I've never had a problem with Daytona Magic and I live in the U.K., so I'm sure all U.S. orders will be even quicker.

Before anyone calls Daytona Magic please do yourself a favor and search the Café. Dozens have posted horrible experiences about Daytona!

Do yourself and the dealers a favor by ordering from one of the established shops (online or brick & mortar). While you may not get the lowest price, you typically do get service, advice, and you will help ensure that they are around the next time you need help, questions answered, advice on the next book to purchase. It's more difficult to do in this impersonal age of information, but you owe it to yourself to find a dealer you like, and develop a relationship. Best of luck with Tarbell. It is still worth its weight in gold.

Excellent advice Victor! I've found out the hard way that service is often every bit as important as price.

I put my bid in for:

I have ordered from them three times. They always shipped the next day, even when I ordered on a Sunday, and I had the order the next day. I have sent them email asking questions, and they always respond.

Brick and Mortar stores are best. There is no substitute for being able to visit, browse and ask questions. But, if a live visit is not possible, an online retailer with excellent service is the next best thing.

I found the magic warehouse's prices to be very good, and they charge actual cheap shipping prices, not imaginary ones. Smile

Although the individual prices on the Tarbell books are not lower than L&L Publishers, their price is $10 cheaper than them on the whole set.
