Go see cool guy Brett Daniels. Awesome nice guy. Good show. Mixes both close up with stage. Highly recommended.
best regards, Tomasko

I might be mistaken but from what I hear Brett is no longer there, Kirby Vanbirch, Darren Romeo, And the the Hammners however are.

No more Brett? Geesh that was probably the best show there. I've been away for a while. Kirby's show is 'eh good. A friend of mine used to produce it. I've never had the opportunity to see Darrens show. I would assume it to be entertaining and exciting to see though. Justin Flom- name sounds familiar. Haven't heard too much about him though. Wouldn't mind checking it out though.
best regards, Tomasko

Justin is coming out with a new show in the spring of 06 called "Imaginary Theatre and Magic Parlor". Justin is an awesome performer and I really recommend seeing him if you can. For more info go to http://www.justinflom.com

Not strictly "magic" per se, but you'll learn a TON about character, show structure, and creating a magical environment from the JIM STAFFORD SHOW. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's the most magical show (with no magic tricks) I've ever seen!

The only other magician I see listed in Branson is somebody called 'Bart Rockett', who apparently does more of a variety show with a couple of illustions thrown in.
I am on a Jones for some live magic, and am going to try to work in a trip to Branson for a fix later this summer. I'll post reviews after.

Bart indeed is not that great a show.
Brett has left. Kirby does a good show, a traditional magic show. Quite entertaining to tell the truth. Darren Romeo gets my vote to must see. He sings with a Broadway calibur voice and does some great magic to boot. If you want straight magic trick after trick he may not be for you, but if you want to be entertained, then he is the show to see. Justin keeps putting off his opening date. He at 20 has probably bitten off more than he can realistically chew. At least that is the front page arround town. Which brings me to the Hamners. They fall in to the catagory of, just go see them for me. They are again along the lines of a bit more traditional show, with some stunning original stuff. Jim Barber does Ventriliquism and really adds to the show. They are simply fantastic. Point is there is a LOT of magic in Branson. Some good some pretty bad actually. You can usually find reviews arround town pretty simply.

Yes I am Eric, but I felt leaving myself out of the review made the most sense.
Yea Pete is GREAT. I am trying to get him to come here, but you know how that goes. I REALLY like his act. He is one of the best traditional vents in the business today! I hope he will come here. I know if he does he will own this whole town in about 2 weeks.

I live in Branson.
Currently Justin Flom, The Hamners, Kirby VanBurch, Darren Romeo and Bart Rockett are here for the 2006 season. Brett is gone for now anyway! If you are coming to Branson, I highly recommend the Darren Romeo Show, the guy is fantastic!! Cliff |

Justin hasn't even started construction yet. He will be lucky to be open by June.

And let's not forget:
Christopher (who posted above) is performing his show on the Branson Belle Showboat...I believe he is featured on the afternoon cruise. Although I haven't had a chance to see his show, I HAVE got to visit with him several times when he stops by the Magic Shop(s) I work... He's a honestly NICE guy and is always ready to show a trick or demo something from the shop with his own flair and style. Thanks for the visits Christopher, I look forward to seeing your show (If, that is, I can ever get the time off!) I'm also a BIG fan of the Hammner-Barber Show (Seen it about 4 times) and my wife has seen Darren and recommends it. Prof. Piper (Terry) P.S...I think it would be kinda neat for all of us on the Magic Café that live in Branson to get together sometime...Any takers???
