Thanks Levent,

That was very informative.

I wish more of the Classic Magicians from that his era and the ones right before him were more available on film as they would be a fantastic teaching aid. Not just the effects, but the showmanship, and stage presence.

I only had enough time to watch the Watch Multiplication. Amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing. That guy... he had some serious talent.

Thanks for the post, Roland.

Thanks for the links!

Ross and Kaps - pure artistry. I'd never seen the "drop-down" watches. That was neat.

Tamos - interesting and definitely knows how to fill a stage. I couldn't stop thinking of the Chef on the Muppets, though. haha

If you've ever seen the vid clip of Kaps doing 'Chink A Chink', you'd find it just beautiful. There's a clip over at the School For Scoundrels site.

The Richard Ross clip is great. I wonder if anyone has succeeded him in a similar act.

FOR THOSE WHO CAN´T SEE THE VIDEOS DO THIS:

In the page click on EDIT. Then in the code of the page you search by "wmv".

It is the direct link to the video. You can even save it on your pc...

Here is a site that you can simply paste the URL into and it will download the video, pretty nifty:

WOW!!!! What can really be said of those performances? The shear artistry of Ross, the suave presentation of Kapps, the pure mastery and proficiency of Tamos, words brought to you by Roget's Thesaurus. To view those videos and to see the results of all of that hard work and time spent into putting together an act like those is sheer delight.
Fred Kapps and his salt pour is real magic to behold. The way he presents it and the look of,"where is it all coming from" is hard if not impossible to duplicate.
Richard Ross is just class, pure class. I saw that video a very long time ago and am still amazed to see what he does with the clocks and the watches on the chains.
Tamos actually looks and sounds like he is enjoying the act more than the audience is. He just has a happy and fun filled production act that is,here is that word again, unbeilveable. I wish I could have understood what he wasw saying but the giggles and fun he looked like he was having made up for the language barrier.
I am just so greatful that I was around during their time. Other greats that have past on I always wished I was born earlier to see them.
It brings a tear to my eyes to watch these masters at work. Well I went on a little longer then I should have but thank you for posting those links.

In Awe of it all

Ross's ring act completely inspired me to go get my rings back out and work on a smoother routine. Thank you so much for sharing it.
