Thanks, Dave, and you too, James. And while we're at, thank you Randy. I really do hope everyone enjoys the DVDs. A good many years of love and innovation have gone into them and I'm just glad I can finally release all this material to the magic community. It's been a long time in the works.
I've also been very honoured to meet Dave here at the Café and experiment with his wonderful invention. I greatly enjoyed playing with KS and making the demo. It will be expanded soon. Kristie, my wife, came up with that boot move and that's her performing it. A longer preview of Zombie Re-animated should be up soon too. Thank you all for your support of our work. It means a lot to us. Jeb

Does the Kinetic Sphere always have to be performed in such dark surroundings against a dark backdrop with dark clothes?
I was looking at the blue Kinetic Sphere to complement a white costume, but if the performing conditions are like on the demo, then this is definitely not for me. If you could shed any light on this matter (groan!), I would greatly appreciate it. |

Lee,
It is difficult to get a good shot without giving away the gimmick, especially at the close range which it was shot. Dave |

Thank you, Dave, for your comments, but how does this work in a real live situation then? What are the limitations of lighting? Are there special lighting requirements? Does the audience have to be a certain distance away? Is there anything else that you can compare this with without giving away your gimmick?

I'm still having the occasional viewing problems that come with dialup but the choppy clip I did see looked great. Good job with such short notice, Jeb.
LeeAlex2002, the limitations, when not using the foulard, would be similar to that of The Dancing Cane I suppose. I was surprised that the KS clip was shot at such a close range but it worked for that demo purpose. I think the same questions about audience distance, lighting, and performance length will be brought up with KS as they were for The Dancing Cane. You should use your best judgement and consider all the factors if performng KS or any effect with a similar gimmick. |

I downloaded the video and even changing in it in Windows Movie Maker and brightening the scenes several times the gimmick does not show up.
Jeb, I knew there was something different in some of the scenes as you got better looking than normal! For the people who have dial-up, download the Firefox internet browser and it will download the complete video and then ask if you want to play it, thus all the jerkiness is taken away from just letting Windows Media Player try to stream the video. I posted this to another thread, but just to let you guys know, the demo we did for Dave is dark because we overcompensated for the lighting. We were being paranoid of showing off the gaff because it isn't our product, but no, it doesn't have to be that dark.
In other news, my account is already set up and we should be able to take pre-orders for Zombie Re-animated Monday or Tuesday. Jeb

When I saw the demo I thought it was a bit dark but if you think of it, you probably don't want to perform any stage thread effects in a bright situation. Anyway, great video. Jeb,I really would love to see your full kinetic sphere performance!

Jeb,
How long after pre-orders do you expect the Zombie Re-Animated DVD to ship? James

The gimmick (or one of them) on the kinetic sphere works in a similiar manner to a dancing cane, and should be lit accordingly- avoid backlighting, etc. On a stage setting, with proper lighting, the gimmick won't be revealed. If you're worried, stick to the other gimmick, or have someone "in the know" verify the lighting before your performance.

Hey, everyone. Things are getting a bit confusing in this thread. For future KS discussions, there's another great thread already started here and another that's been going on for quite some time. I'm having to post to all three now and it would be a lot easier if we kept the discussions separate.
Thanks, Jeb http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 and http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=37

Jeb,
Does the Zombie Re-Animated (A New Video on Nothing but Zombie) reveal all of your secrets and suggestions or due to time and constraints did you have to edit out something that you wish were in the DVDs? James Adamson http://www.seam2006.com

James,
It certainly has all the stuff I had at the time and several things we actually things we came up with as we were filming and experimenting with various concepts. There are several things though that we've come up with since then that I wish we'd gotten on the video (including some really cool new moves for the "Foulardless Zombie"). Given enough time, we just might have enough material for a volume 3, but that will be a far future project. Jeb

OK, everybody, the good news is that you can all pre-order now. I've also decided that I will autograph the DVDs for anyone who pre-orders (that is if anyone actually wants my autograph on them, lol). Also, the new preview is up. It's actually been up for two days, but I decided to wait until I could take orders to mention it.

Hey, guys, Jeb, Dave...
I know you've already linked to another thread, but I have pre-ordered KS, and with the left-over birthday money, I will at least order Zombie Re-Animated 1. These look like a great combination, and I'll be sure to review it! Anyhoo, Jeb, as said on TNT, this DVD set looks absoloutley amazing! They're saying some good things over there! I can't wait to order it. Jeb, it looks like a true winner. P.S. I don't know if the idea has been brought up, Jeb, but maybe you could make a third installment, for the KS. That'd be amazing. |

Again Matt, thanks for the support. I really hope you enjoy them both. The idea of putting out a video on KS is being discussed. We'll just have to see what we can do.
I really hope you enjoy Zombie Re-Animated. Jeb
