My fellow Magicians,

A fellow magician and I were thinking about putting on a two-man show. The problem is that I have no idea how you would do this. Would You make it look like a competition? How could I possibly make this work for both of us without degrading the other?

Work as a team, maybe, a la Siegfried and Roy? Some friendly competition, without degradation.

What type of venues are you considering?
Comedy magic would work nicely.

One place to begin is to to look at Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, the Smothers Brothers, Jackie Gleason & Ed Norton, Fred Flintstone & Barney Rubble, Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis as well as Penn & Teller.

This type of duet is an old formula.

One magician could be teaching an apprentice and the apprentice messes up or does it better than the teacher.

A couple tricks that both of you could work together are:
Linking Rings.
Torn and Restored Paper.
Professor's Nightmare.
