I have a very old "magic" book that I would like some more information on, if this can be called a review, so be it.

Title: Amateur Amusements
Author: Proff. Lorento
Pub: Hurst & Co. 1878

This book is in good condition, but the binding is seperating from the book. Pages are aged a bit and the first few pages are loose. You can easily flip through the book, I just do not wish to aid in the aging process if I can help it.

Does anyone know if this book is just an amusement type magic book, or does it hold some ideas that should be read? If I should actually read this, does anyone know where I can get a newer version of this for reading purpose (reprint/inexpensive)?

WOW, no info on this book?

I did find a few versions for sale, but for $200, I will keep mine.

The condition of the two books cited in your links explains the difference in the price. The one that is in good condition would normally cost at least 3 times what one in fair condition would. These prices reflect that difference.
