Get the Johnson "coin in bottle," the quarter ($.25) size, From your favorite dealer.
You have to give it away to keep it.

The trick you are referring to is known as the "Silver Snack" by a least one UK dealer. The coin is made in a slightly different way from a standard Coin-in-Bottle coin.

Hey,
I bought a silver snack 10p and the gaff is very visible. I've seen some bitten quarters where it is not at all visible, even when seen from close. Did I just buy a bad piece or are they made like that? |

I have found that through time the gaff becomes visible. Just remember that the larger action covers the smaller movement (great advice that I was given that has eased more than one of my worries).
