I was thinking about some of the oldies but goodies that are not all that expensive. I thought it may be fun to ask the question: What is your favorite marketed effect for under $15.00? The key word here is marketed since there are many effects that can be done with coins, cards etc that are learned from a book/dvd and aren't sold by themselves.
Mine would probably have to be Steve Duscheck's Wonder Bar which is around $10.00

It's not an effect per se, but thumbtips are cheap.
Skinners Ultimate 3-Card monte is a good one that cost less than 15 bucks.

Chinese Sticks are great and usually around 10 bucks. One of the finest effects is the signed coin in matchbox (well several matchboxes and a bag, and sometimes in a ball of yarn) I cannot think of the name in which is it sold under but it's usually about 5 bucks, and when performed properly can be a real fooler.
