I am just wondering. Will you use the Si Stebbins setup for a simple trick to make the selection as fair as possible ? Is it worth stacking the whole deck to know one card to make the selection fair and allow the spectator to insert the card and shuffle? what's your opinion ?

For me it would depend whether or not it would make the effect itself that much stronger.

The last post here was about 3 years ago. I wonder if anybody has put out a book or DVD exclusively on Si Stebbins Tricks?

Harmonic Convergence by Cameron Francis (which is a bonus effect that comes with the Annihilation Deck) is a wonderful effect using the Si Stebbins principle. The nice thing about this effect is that you can repeat it again and again with the same group of people and they will never catch on.

Let's not forget one of the old sources, before magicians forget where some of the effects come from. Encyclopedia Of Card Tricks, edited by Jean Hugard, has a chapter on prearranged packs, as well as a chapter on the Nikola system.
