I have not used Diamond Silks before and the ones have now Appear to have a longer thin length and a wider shorter length to the diamond.
From holding them it seems to me that the longer thinner length is the one you should hold for display. Is this correct or is it a personnel opinion matter? Or is it just an optical illusion on my part? James Adamson http://www.seam2006.com
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

James,
A 9 inch diamond silk when held will look like a 12 inch square silk, 12 inch diamond will look the an 18 inch square when you hold it on the longer length. This is to make it appear like a full sized silk, but takes up less space. This is great for TT's as well as flourishes that look bigger on the stage and take less space. |

OK, I have to ask a dumb question (I ask lots of dumb questions, so I know there is such a thing!)...
What is the difference between a diamond and a square held by the corner. I've always thought these two shapes were really the same thing. Is it that a diamond is really a rectangle? Thanks, Dave |

I bet the 'Mysterious Knot' would be easier with a diamond silk. So far I can only get a semi-clunky feel from a square one. I tend to use my beer belly as a third hand for it!

The diamond silks is a diamond shape, the regular silk is a square.
Held the by the long end a 9 inch diamond looks like a 12 inch square. In other words, same length, less space, bigger productions. Craig, we have the diamonds in all colors over at http://www.silkmagic.biz. Come and take a look. |
